If you feel fine

Absolutely nothing to do today, and the baby looks like he is going to be fine.

29.11.02

Life in a tenement square

Happy Hanukah!

28.11.02

Anarchy- the scourge of every sea

Right. Day before yesterday, my aunt in the UK had her second baby. This morning he started seizing. But of course the doctors- most of the doctors in Great Britain are crap- say nothing and pretty much go about their business. My father, who is a pediatric neurologist (meaning he works mainly with kids with head injuries) gets a call from his brother about the baby. The doctors aren't doing much and he's worried. So at 5:15 my dad is taking a flight to the UK to try and help.

Happy Thanksgiving.

27.11.02

He ain't Jack the Ripper, he's your ordinary crook

Today is Trek day. It's a new one, at least...And tomorrow is Thanksgiving. We are going to my cousin's house- they live about an hour and a half away from us.

26.11.02

Black coat, white shoes, black hat, cadillac- the boy's a time bomb

Geocities was down for a few hours today, so now I can finally work on some site junk...
Hey little sister, do you know time it is?

That's it. No school until next Monday. Free.

25.11.02

Calling Maxwell murder for you

Monday. Pontless to have school today, though- halfday tomorrow and that's it until next Monday.
It snowed last night!

24.11.02

If you wanna know the truth

Today is Sunday- but I only have a day and a half of school this week! Life is good.

23.11.02

Dial 999

Art class today- and, before that, I'm going over to a pub to watch Liverpool beat the $h!^ out of Newcastle!

22.11.02

Calling Maxwell murder for you

animemirage.com
Are out on the corner sparing for change

ER was so sad. But Romano didn't take anyone's head off! Next week, perhaps? I thought it was funny when, after Carter told the med student to go out and play in the snow, she did.
No tests today, I think, and only a day and a half next week, for "Thanksgiving break".

21.11.02

All the punk rocker and the moon stompers

Very strange...I did really badly on the ss test...but got 100% on the ss quiz. Strange...

Ben Zenaho he was there he was waiting for me

SS quiz on chp. 16, sect 2 today. Whoop. ER today. More nasty comments from Romano.ENT was pretty good- I liked most of it, anyway.

20.11.02

Took the 60 bus out of downtown Campbell

The Dolly Blog V. funny.
Trek tonight. A new one, if I recall correctly.
We had the quz today, and there is another one *surprise* tomorrow. She went off on a huge rant during 9th period about how we have plenty of time to get our work done, i.e. we should have studied more as only five people passed the test...did she hand the tests back? No. As Guth would say, trés stupide...
Harry Potter was really good! It was much better the first time than the first was the first time. Does that make sense? Anyway, one of the few bad bits was that, as Mad Magazine predicted, Dobby soon became the most annoying computer animated character since Mesa Jar Jar Binks Whosa Are Yousa. I liked Oliver Wood though and whoever played Moaning Myrtle was dead funny.
An ongoing e-mail conversation between myself and a friend concerning golf carts:
her: yep. i have a cousin who fell off a golf cart. i think instability runs in the family.
me: lol. i agree. have you ever fallen out of a golf cart?
her: i've never even been in a golf cart before. it's probably for my own good.
me: golf carts are EVVVVIIIILLL!!!
her: yes, but they look so much fun to ride
me: true. but i'd rather not fall out of one.
her: lol. u know. crank it up to 15 mph. really going fast.
me: lol. living dangerously, are we?
her: oh yeah. i've got the need for speed.
me: lol. 25 mph?!? don't kill yourself!
her: i'll try not to. maybe i should go get a helmet and some protective gear.
me: yes, definitely. but be very careful!!!! don't go any faster than 15 mph you shouldn't.
her: lol. i'll try. this is going to be so exciting. maybe then i'll go out and buy a motorized scooter.
me: oooh yes! and you can go a blistering 26 miles per hour!!!!!

19.11.02

Goodbye to the Brixton sun

Well, as it happened, the ss test wasn't until today. And tomorrow there is a quiz on the first section of the next chapter in the same class. Isn't my teacher lovely?
I might see Harry Potter 2 today...Barbra said it's better than the first...
I'm checking my email, and I just got this from my friend- the same one who composed a song entitled "England Sucks" a few months ago (She had asked my what I thought I was getting for Christmas and Hanukah, and I had asked her the same):
mp3. hmm....star trek and lotr stuff? i'll get u a life size picture of the guy who plays legolas so you can do "stuff" with it.
o_0 I don't want to know where her mind lives...

18.11.02

No need for the Black Maria

Well. It's Monday. Again. An ss test and an english test. Joy.

17.11.02

They caught him with a gun

We did that game where you fold up a piece of paper and then one person does the head, another the body, and another the legs. This was the end result.
This is what I did after art class, on the computer.

16.11.02

You know it means no mercy

Art class today. I wonder what we are doing?
It's stupid though- my class goes from 2:30 to 4:30 and to get there I have to take the 12:57 train. After I have to take the 5:35 train back. I have a five-hour trip in the place of a two hour one. Figures...
Only one more week before "Thanksgiving break":One and a half days of hell, then three and a half days off.

15.11.02

At the end of the harder they come

I HATE BROCOLLI WITH CHEESE...Thank you, cooking teacher.

His game is called survivin'

Friday! Yes! I get out of French, math, gym, and some of science because there us some play being done by the advanced drama people. Yes!

14.11.02

You see he feels like Ivan, born under the Brixton sun

My teeth still hurt. We made salad in cooking today. It consisted of: disgusting, slimy dressing, burned, way too salty croutons, and, oh yes, lettuce. Yum.
Took the French test today. Oh well. I tried. I'll find out my grade in a few weeks, I guess; right now I have a B.
In math I am like .5 points away from an A. Damn.

Oh, the guns of Brixton

The Communicator...Opinions?

[trekbbs]Yale: Good direction, but a really stupid and incompetent story. The ending made Archer's potential sacrifice moot.
I mean, c'mon...like they would really believe the Alliance or whatever developed such advanced technology. They'll find out sooner or later that Archer BS'd them.
Malakili: Almost put me to sleep in one part. And for God's sake! Can't they give Travis something meaningful to say?
The whole ep pissed me off.
trekkieb47: I actually liked this episode. By no means am I a "gusher" or basher or whatever the hell you people argue about.
This was a entertaining episode that I would've given an A-, but becuase of the cloak....which I think that ship they got from "Broken Bow" SHOULD NOT have had... I'll downgrade it to a B+....those planes KICKED ASS.
Terra Pryme: I give it a B-. All the crew had important tasks to do and Archer did his best to maintain a "Prime Directive" even though it hasn't come into being yet. Good humor as well like Malcom practically requesting a reprimand for screwing up, to Archer jokingly saying 30 lashes before reassuring him everyone makes mistakes. Add to this Trip's arm becoming cloaked as well as the end when Archer thought he lost his communicator only to see Malcom finding it for him, thereby saving them yet another return trip to the planet. That cell ship did look rather cramped with 5 people inside, didn't it?
Of course, it was pretty lame that Archer and Reed took their phase pistols with them in the first place. The fact they never even used them attests to that. And couldn't they have just used the transporter to beam the communicator out? All they had to do was use a basic contact signal to track it then upon its activation, transport it out of the area. After all, in last season's "Detained", they were able to beam a communicator to Archer and Mayweather directly in their prison cell. Of course, this would have been too much of a quick solution and it wouldn't have been as much of an episode. Oh well, at least tonight's episode was entertaining. [/trekbbs]

13.11.02

But you'll have to answer to

I woke up late today. I didn't mean to, though. I usually get up at 6, but today I woke up at 6:50. Not good. I still didn't have to leave until 7:25, but I like it when it's dark and quiet and no one else is awake in the house...oh well.
Trek tonight- an new one; a few eps back Reed left a communicator on some planet, and now the intrepid (though some would say tepid) crew of the USS Enterprise NX-01 must journey back and get it, while being accused as spies on the Planet of the Lost Commuicator. Will they be all right??! Will T'Pol the More Emotional Than Her Fellow Humans live to wear another skintight outfit?!?!?! Find out tonight on Enterprise!

12.11.02

You can bruise us

They tightened my braces. Owwwwwwwww. My teeth hurt.

words are very
unnecessary
they can only
do harm
words like violence
break the silence
come crashing in,
into my little world
You can crush us

No school today, because I have an ortho appt. Very happy.

11.11.02

Shot down on the pavement or waiting in deathrow?

It's stopped raining, but it's still grey and cloudy. It's nice this way...better than boiling hot, that's for sure.
I was just looking at energy-rush.net, and it says this:
I will host a site about anyone except for Avril Lavigne. Ha ha!
How ya gonna go?

Well, it's Monday. It's overcast. And it's raining. That says it all, really. It's very warm for November, though.

10.11.02

When the law break in

I was just reading the New York Times a few minutes ago, and it had an article on Avril Lavigne, whom I personally cannot stand. It was saying how she is so punk and her music is so punk and she's anti-pop and anti-Britney...It then went on to say that her two "main rivals" are Britney Spears and Christina Aguliera. So? Is she anti-Britney or wanting to be the next Britney?
She's also never listened to the Sex Pistols or-horrors of horrors- the Clash, it said. (Sans "horrors of horrors"!) It would make her music less unique. Wtf? Less unique? Artists- painters, drawers, etc- look at each other's creations, learn new techniques from other artists, get inspirations from the other artwork. Does this make their own artwork less unique? Hell no. It makes it better, if anything! If you look at a painting you can see what no one else has, and then take what you've seen and twist it, shape it, into something all your own- Even though it began from another's ideas, it is now entirely you. Surely listening to *ahem* genius such as Joe Strummer and co. would only help her music, make it less pop? I mean, damn it, she has a stylist. A STYLIST. Part of punk is being who you want to be, looking how you want to look- not hiring some person to make you suitably normal for the masses- i.e. Make you wear what is popular. Look like everyone else. Be the same. Blend in. Not punk. Britney Spears has a stylist. Did the Clash wear what they wanted to wear, never mind what others said or did? Yes. Are they basically the best, totally original, ever? Well, of course I say yes, but still.
Anyway. Listening to music like the Sex Pistols and the Clash can give you ideas for your own music- even ideas for things like writing, drawing, etc...
In short: Listen to the bloody Clash! Listen to the Sex Pistols! They rule!

9.11.02

With your hands on your head or the trigger of your gun?

Art class was ok. I mostly messed around on the internet, doing nothing.
justmango.com is a cool site.
After dinner I went over to a bookstore and guess what I found? A book full of pictures of the Clash! So of course I had to buy it. That's one of the many reasons why I hate that movie Bring It On: When the main character, whatever her name is, looks at the guys shirt- witch has a picture of the Clash on it- and goes "Is that your band?" So the guy stutters a bit, because this girl's just asked him something, to him at least, completely looney, and finally he says something along the lines of "No, they're a band from the '70s." And then she says "Oh! Vintage!"
Vintage. Come on. There are a billion other adjectives that could be used for the Clash: Brilliant. Great. Fantastic. Rebels. Unique. Memorable. Amazing. Genius. Punk. Immortal.
But no. Vintage. Evil scriptwriters.
How ya gonna come?

Going to the stable was fun. Horses are so cool.
Art class today. Ugh. It's fun, I guess, but...I don't know. Anyway, not much homework this weekend- I just have to type some stuff up. Plus it's a three day weekend, and since I have an orthodontist appt. on Tuesday it may end up being a four day weekend. That would be nice...

8.11.02

When they kick at your front door

No drum lesson today- I'm going to see my friend's horse. Yes, you read that right.
No tests today, I think, and no math or gym, because of an assembly.
ER was yesterday- Romano had a great scene at the beginning- he's on the phone yelling at someone about something, and then he says something along the lines of "Who's your employer? What's his name? Oh yeah, me!" Bwahaha. Afterwards I was thinking about the bit in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where there is this alien who is immortal, and has nothing to do, so he goes around the galaxy in order to insult every single person there is, and I was thinking that Romano should make a list of all the staff at the hospital, and then insult each one while going down the list.

7.11.02

And I live by the river

Well. I don't know how I did on the math test yet, but I did pretty well on the french quiz. Adn guess what? She tells us to study for the "chapter test" we have next week. Will the pain never end?!?

London's burning

The Seventh was terrible. T'Pol must be a human in disguise. Wait... Comments, anyone?
Oxymoron: Stop with the emotional Vulcans already.
jack_attack: The Vulan ship comes out of nowhere at high warp speed to deliver a game score?
T'Pol emoting all over the place? I don't get this part at all. She is far more emotional than Spock yet only 80 years seperate this version from the TOS?
Archer going with T'Pol because she needs someone she trusts?
The "emotion of killing"? Again with the mixing up of what an emotion is and isn't.

It seems like Surak has not yet arrived...Oh well. ENT is good, it's just having abit of trouble.

6.11.02

But I have no fear

He was my father's mother's youngest brother. He and most of my dad's family live in England, Ireland, Scotland, etc, so we weren't able to see him.
The ss quiz was ok. So was the french quiz and math test.
Another- new-Trek tonight. They say it's pretty good.
A nuclear error

My great uncle died.

5.11.02

The wheat is growing thin

Happy Guy Fawkes day! Only in England would there be a holiday named for a man who, after trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament, was caught, and hung, drawn, and quartered. Ah, England. Wonderful place.
As it happens, the french test has been rescheduled to tomorrow, so I get to have that along with a math test, and an ss test. $h!^!
In cooking today we answered more questions. From some book or other. Where is the cooking, I ask you?
We had a free day in math, and did the usual evil stuff in ss- read out loud, take notes. Read out loud, take notes. Boredom reigns.
It's really overcast today- like the weather knows that it is Guy Fawkes day, and since Guy Fawkes is mainly celebrated in England, that the weather here should be like the weather in England: Cold, wet, windy, grey, depressing...but that's how I like it.
Again, happy Guy Fawkes day!
Meltdown expected

Tuesday: A test on French. Lovely.

4.11.02

The sun is zooming in

It's still Monday. But no more work of any kind...I hope.

Fascinating site of the day: TobeyOnline.com.

By the way, the title of this page (woe to hice, etc, which i just changed) is from Cryptonomicon, when Waterhouse is talking with a bunch of stuffy old Brits with thick "upper-class" accents, and whenever they say his name- Watrhouse- they prnounce it "Woe to hice", so for the first half hour Waterhouse is sitting there and he's like "Woe to Hice? Who? Poor guy!" until he finally realizes that it's him they are talking about.
The ice age is coming

Monday is nearly over! Work in s.s. and math tonight, but the science test was easy. In short, I passed. Yippee.
I nearly fell asleep in eng/lit today. Oops. And tomorrow is only Tuesday. Ack.
Oh, and I finished Cryptonomicon on Friday. Woe to hice!
And battle come down

Monday. Again. A science test and an english test. Joy to the world.

3.11.02

Now that war is declared

Art class yesterday was fun. I made a sort of kaleidescope picture "featuring" (for lack of a better word) the Sex Pistols, the Clash, Oasis, and Kula Shaker. Of course.

And today is Sunday. Die. Ah well, come next Friday I have three days off.

1.11.02

At the top of the dial

I don't get it. I don't get it at all. I nearly failed my -censored- ss test. How?! I studied. I actually like ss. I tried, for insert-deity-of-choice's sake. Hodgesaargh.
And ER! I only watch it because of Romano, king of all jerks. And yesterday he was not much of a jerk. Sick.

London calling

Halloween was great. That's all you can say, really.
The ss test was really easy. Nothing today, just loads of hyper people.
Four days until Guy Fawkes.
